Before buy kitchen toolsThe juicer I have in my kitchen looks like a retro rocket ship. It’s as much a kitchen ornament as it is a juicer. And with those beautifully colored
cookware and bakeware sets, from the enamel to the silicone, there is much to please the eye. But before we unleash our inner favorite TV chef, we need to ask ourselves the following questions, some of which depend on what we’re considering buying:
Do I actually need this and will I really use it?
Is this gadget a triumph of form over function?
Will this help me be more efficient in the
kitchen?
Can I use it in the microwave?
Is it dishwasher safe?
Will it last, and what kind of guarantee comes with it?
Is there space in my kitchen?
I’m not saying you shouldn’t choose something that’s attractive to look at, merely that attractiveness shouldn’t distract you from everything else.
Some kitchen tools are very expensive, others are cheap. Don’t let that fool you into thinking that expensive is necessarily better. Equally, something that seems too cheap may break after a short period of use or perform badly. So resist buying on impulse, do some research, and buy only what you will use. In this respect, a low fat kitchen is no different from a regular kitchen.
Various types of kitchen tools
A Good Quality, Sharp Chef's Knife
This tool is a must in many cooks' kitchens. Use a chef's knife to quickly chop, cut, slice, dice and mince fresh produce. You can do some procedures faster with a chef's knife than with your food processor. It's important to keep your knife sharp. Check what type of sharpening procedure or device the manufacturer of your knives recommends.
Food Processor and Blender
A food processor can make quick work of slicing, dicing, shredding, grating and chopping -- especially for large quantities of food. For smaller quantities, hand-held kitchen tools such as a chef's knife or a grater sometimes are faster.
A blender makes quick work of pureeing ingredients, such as for soups, and is terrific for making smoothies! Buy a heavy-duty blender if you want to crush ice. Some people like an immersion blender for pureeing soups in the pot or frothing hot chocolate.
My Kitchen Tools
Most of us have gadgets that sounded like a good idea at the time, but we never use them. Here are the kitchen tools and gadgets I use over and over.
We love the Stellar Soft Touch kitchen tools. Not only are exceptionally comfortable to grip due to the black rubber handle inserts, they are made with a zinc alloy composite which makes them extremely hard wearing.
Their smooth contours give them an elegant look and they have been manufactured with efficency in mind thus helping protect the wrists. Available in a sleek satin finish and coming with a lifetime guarantee we believe these tools will be gracing your kitchen for many years to come.
Great kitchen tools offer
Devote less time to preparing meals and more time to enjoying them! 18/10 stainless steel bowls with air-tight plastic lids keep ingredients fresh until mealtime and store leftovers after. Set of 4; 1-cup capacity. Dishwasher safe.
Great concept for cooking tools
Cooking and baking tools that can take the heat, now that’s a great concept. I decided to break into this new line rather small, I bought a spatula. And boy was I impressed. I can’t wait to branch out to silicone muffin pans, which feel and look like rubber that you can twist, and presto, muffins should pop right out!
I’ve put the spatula through a trial run, and after a year, it still looks new. And yes, I did use it! It has no missing corners; which was usually the case with the old style, which melted away with use. Silicone baking tools have longer handles, and are dishwasher safe.
